On 14 December 2011, the central Holocaust memorial site Yad Vashem in Jerusalem held a ceremony honoring the National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victims of National Socialism in recognition of its many years of support.

On 20 June 2011, the first funding for urgently needed restoration work on two run-down Jewish cemeteries was resolved in Parliament by the newly-established "Fund for the Restoration of the Jewish Cemeteries in Austria".
The Board of Trustees of the Fund resolves the Financial Regulations and Rules of the Fund, acknowledges the funding agreement of the Fund and resolves the applications for funding for the Jewish cemeteries Deutschkreutz and Stockerau. See also the Press Release of 20 May 2011.
The Advisory Board recommends that – subject to one amendment – the first two projects (the Jewish cemetery Stockerau and the Jewish cemetery Deutschkreutz) of the applicant for funding, the Jewish Community Vienna, be submitted to the Board of Trustees on 20 June 2011.

Chairperson of the Advisory Board, Dr. Barbara Neubauer, and a deputy, Mag. Martin Grüneis, are voted in. The Advisory Board acknowledges the Guidelines that have been drawn up for the Fund. These are formally resolved at the meeting of the Board of Trustees on 24 May 2014.
