Jewish Cemetery Leoben

Data

Description

In the course of the November pogrom in 1938, the cemetery and its ceremonial hall were razed to the ground. The gravestones were all destroyed or stolen. A memorial erected by students of the High School BG/BRG Leoben in 2008 traces the outlines of the former ceremonial hall along the ground. Symbolic slabs have been laid on the burial area to recall the gravesites. The cemetery can be accessed by the public via the municipal cemetery.
