Jewish Cemetery Oberstockstall

Data

Description

This cemetery, founded in 1887, is surrounded by a pillared wall and lies hidden in the forest. It served as a burial site for the Jewish community of Kirchberg am Wagram and the surrounding villages. It contains only around 40 headstones, however. The cemetery, which was renovated in 2021/22 with funds from the Fund for the Restoration of Jewish Cemeteries in Austria, is locked; the key is available from the local authority.
